You get pain around the nose and in the head with AC, humid weather and sleeping under a fan, and it improves only after painkillers. In Ayurveda this is pratishyaya – a headache caused by kapha and vata dosha.
Taking painkillers often is harmful. If there is fever, swelling near the eyes or bleeding from the nose, show an ENT doctor.
Take the following medicines for 2–3 months:
- Laxmivilas ras – 1 tablet morning and evening
- Tribhuvankirti ras – 1 tablet morning and evening (during pain)
- Chitrak haritaki avaleha – 1 teaspoon morning and evening with lukewarm water
- Anu oil – 2 drops in each nostril in the morning (nasya)
- Steam inhalation every night with ajwain or eucalyptus oil in hot water
Take care: Do not keep the AC temperature low, do not let the fan blow directly on the head, do not keep the hair wet; stop curd, cold drinks, ice cream, bananas and rice at night; drink lukewarm water.
Panchakarma: Nasya karma (most effective in sinusitis), Shirodhara.
