The skin of my scrotum and penis has become dry, with extreme itching. Too much itching causes bleeding and a watery discharge; sometimes the skin dries so much that it cracks and bleeds. This happens again and again, more at night while sleeping. The top layer of skin peeled off from scratching and new tender skin came, but the same thing happens again, the skin bleeds quickly and becomes raised. I am suffering a lot and even walking is difficult. Please guide me.

As per your problem, the skin of the scrotum and penis becomes dry, itches severely, bleeds and oozes a watery fluid on scratching, and the trouble increases at night.
In Ayurveda this is seen as a skin disease caused by pitta-kapha dosha (a condition like vicharchika / eczema). Moisture, sweat, tight clothes, soap and excess heat in the blood make it flare up again and again.
Such trouble can also be due to a fungal infection or diabetes, so please get your blood sugar tested once.
Continue the following medicines for 3 months and then contact us.
- Arogyavardhini vati – 2 tablets morning and evening
- Gandhak rasayan – 2 tablets morning and evening
- Mahamanjishthadi kwath – 15 ml morning and evening with an equal amount of water
- Apply Jatyadi oil / Mahamarichyadi oil gently on the itchy area twice a day
Take care: Wear loose cotton underwear, keep the area dry, use less soap and do not scratch. Stop curd, sour, fermented and fried food, non-vegetarian food and incompatible food (fruit with milk, sour items etc.).
Panchakarma: Virechana karma, Raktamokshana (leech therapy) – at a nearby Panchakarma centre.
