I am 29 years old and have had an arranged marriage. For quite some time, I have been experiencing excessive sweating. Within two to three hours of taking a bath, I start sweating heavily and this causes body odor. Before going to the office, I spray perfume on my clothes, and I need to use deodorant four to five times during the day. Even then, by evening, especially on dark-colored clothes, dried sweat stains become visible.
I also use a lot of powder to reduce sweating, but it does not provide much benefit. Instead, I feel that the powder mixed with sweat causes dirt or a layer to accumulate on my skin. Because of the body odor, I also feel uncomfortable and self-conscious.
My biggest concern is that this problem should not affect my married life. At night, I feel that I have to bathe before getting close to my husband because I feel that the body odor may make him hesitate to come close to me. Therefore, I constantly worry that excessive sweating and body odor may create difficulties in our intimate relationship.
Could there be an underlying reason for this type of excessive sweating? From an Ayurvedic perspective, what measures, dietary changes and lifestyle modifications can help reduce sweating and body odor? Also, how should I use deodorant, perfume and powder so that they do not harm the skin? Please provide appropriate and practical guidance while keeping married life in consideration.
