Hello

Have a Healthy Day !!

Welcome to the world of health from Ayurveda conducted by Dr. Nikul Patel.

Yes, melasma can certainly be controlled, but it needs patience – it may take 6 months or more. In Ayurveda it is called vyanga, caused by pitta dosha, sunlight, hormones, worry and chemical creams.

Never use steroid-containing fairness creams – they make melasma worse. Get thyroid and Hb reports done once.

Take the following medicines for 3–6 months:

  1. Mahamanjishthadi kwath – 15 ml morning and evening
  2. Arogyavardhini vati – 2 tablets morning and evening
  3. Kamdudha ras – 1 tablet morning and evening
  4. At night apply 2–3 drops of Kumkumadi oil on the face
  5. Twice a week apply a paste of manjishtha + sandalwood + masoor dal made in milk

Take care: Use an umbrella/scarf in the sun, avoid late nights and worry, reduce sour-spicy-fried food, and get enough sleep.

Panchakarma: Virechana, Nasya (with Kumkumadi oil).

Note:

Advice given here is based on safety and availability everywhere. However, the result may depend on the quality of the manufacturer of the medicines.
