Hello

Have a Healthy Day !!

Welcome to the world of health from Ayurveda conducted by Dr. Nikul Patel.

Effective weight-loss treatment means a proper check-up, knowing the causes of weight gain, and then planning the remedy properly – only then can weight reduce to a definite extent.

Once the weight is reduced, if care is not taken, it can certainly increase again.

We know from experience that even after cleaning the house, if we do not keep cleaning it every day, it gets dirty again. Just as it is not possible to clean it once so that it never needs cleaning again, it is not possible to complete a course once and have the weight never increase again.

Yes, if you stay alert about food, exercise and avoiding laziness, weight will surely reduce.

Here I mention medicines commonly used for weight loss, but it will be better to start them after a proper check-up. You can definitely follow the diet given here and benefit.

Commonly used medicines:

  1. Vidangadi loha capsule 2 capsules twice a day
  2. Dashang guggulu 2 tablets twice a day
  3. Agnimantha tablet 2 tablets twice a day
  4. Triphala guggulu 2 tablets twice a day

Diet (pathya) – disease is not cured by medicines alone; only by following the diet along with them can it be cured from the root.

  • Take very little spicy, salty and sour food.
  • Do not take stale food.
  • Do not take maida items – bread, biscuits, pav and other bakery items.
  • Do not take pickles, khaman, dhokla, handvo, idli, dosa or other fermented items.
  • Stop all sour items – curd, buttermilk, lemon, tomato, tamarind, kokum etc.
  • Do not sleep during the day.
  • Stay away from outside snacks.
  • Fat (meda) is related to the water element (jala mahabhuta); drinking too much water or fridge water increases this element in the body, so drink only as much water as thirst demands. On an empty stomach in the morning, only one anjali (as much as fits in the cupped hands) of water is beneficial. Excess water slows the digestive fire.
  • Daytime sleep and getting up late in the morning increase weight.
  • Exercise regularly in the morning (till you sweat).
  • Stay away from oil, ghee, cheese, butter, paneer, sweets, fridge items, shrikhand etc.
  • Boiled moong is the most beneficial. For breakfast you can take boiled moong, mamra (puffed rice), khakhra, dhani (popped grain), phulka rotli etc.
  • Honey method – honey should never be taken with lemon or hot water. Mix two teaspoons of pure honey in half a glass of plain (earthen-pot) water at night and drink it in the morning; similarly, mix it in the morning and drink it at bedtime.

Incompatible food (viruddha ahar)

  • Incompatible food causes most diseases, so stay away from it.
  • With milk, any fruit, curd, buttermilk, garlic, onion, radish, jaggery and all sour items are incompatible. Jaggery and radish with curd are incompatible.
  • Curd increases weight and blocks all the channels of the body, so a sick person should not take it.

Ayurvedic Panchakarma treatment will also be beneficial:

  1. Virechana karma
  2. Basti karma
  3. Udvartana
  4. Abhyanga–swedana

At such a time, stay away from negative thoughts and always think positively.

If you go for a walk every morning and practise yoga, pranayama and meditation, you will benefit faster.

Yogasanas:

  1. Paschimottanasana
  2. Chakrasana
  3. Pavanamuktasana
  4. Pranayama
