- If pregnancy has not happened after 15 months of married life, the first step is to find out which of you has a problem.
- On the woman’s side, many issues can prevent pregnancy – irregular periods, white discharge, physical weakness, weakness of the uterus, no egg formation, excess weight, body heat and so on.
- On the man’s side, first get a semen analysis done in a laboratory to check that the sperm count and motility are normal. If there is any deficiency, correcting it with Ayurvedic treatment increases the chances of pregnancy.
- Even when neither partner has any defect, appropriate Ayurvedic treatment to balance Vata, Pitta and Kapha in both should be tried for pregnancy.
- Sometimes, due to lack of sexual knowledge about when and how to have intercourse, pregnancy does not happen even when everything is normal. For this, intercourse should take place between the 10th and 18th day after the start of the woman’s period.
- Deep love and strong mutual attraction between husband and wife are also important at the time of union.
Besides these, there are many other issues that can prevent pregnancy. The best option is for both of you to come for an in-person consultation, bringing the semen report with you.
