Premature grey hair in a 12-year-old girl – Ayurvedic remedy

My daughter is studying in Class 7 and has no constipation. For about a year she has had grey hair. The doctors said that if she continued their medicine for about three months, the hair would turn black from the roots, but even after four months there is no difference. She is only 12, so if it can at least be stopped from progressing, that would be good. Please suggest a proper remedy; I am ready to come in person if needed.

Hello

Have a Healthy Day !!

Welcome to the world of health from Ayurveda conducted by Dr. Nikul Patel.

  1. Premature greying of hair is described in Ayurveda as palitya. Mostly a pitta constitution and heredity are mainly responsible. Besides this, chemical shampoos and the non-sticky hair oils sold in the market – made only from chemicals, using fragrance and colour that spoil the hair instead of nourishing it – are also causes. Since keeping hair dry (without oil) has become a fashion, hair has stopped getting nourishment. Instead of food that nourishes the hair, so much junk food and soft drinks are consumed that nourishment is not received at all.
  2. New hair colours and the “herbal” mehendi packets sold in the market have dyes mixed in such a way that even the remaining black hair turns white easily, with skin problems and sometimes eye damage as a bonus. Lack of awareness and imitating others are major causes too.
  3. To stop hair from greying, the first thing is to get out of all the above causes. In addition, taking plenty of milk, green vegetables and fruits is beneficial.
  • Do not eat pickles, fermented items, soda, cold drinks and maida items.
  • Stop staying awake late at night and sleeping during the day.
  • An overly tense or angry nature is also a cause.

Plan the medicines as follows (doses to be adjusted for a child – it is best to consult in person):

  1. Saptamrut loha 2 tablets twice a day
  2. Bhringraj ghanvati 2 tablets twice a day
  3. Amlapitta-har tablet 1 tablet twice a day
  4. Use a herbal hair pack (amla, bhangra, nilini, hibiscus, lotus, rose, kantasheriyo etc.) once a week.
  5. Use only chemical-free shampoo made from amla, reetha, shikakai and kapur kachli.
  6. Use Nilibhringraj oil or Amalak oil regularly.
  7. Do nasya with Shadbindu oil.
  8. Shirodhara treatment can also give better results.

Ayurvedic Panchakarma treatment will also be beneficial:

  1. Nasya karma
  2. Shirodhara

At such a time, stay away from negative thoughts and always think positively.

If you go for a walk every morning and practise yoga, pranayama and meditation, you will benefit faster.

Yogasanas:

  1. Paschimottanasana
  2. Chakrasana
  3. Pavanamuktasana
  4. Pranayama
