I am 28 years old and have been married for two years. I have a good relationship with my husband and do not have any particular problem with him. However, many times he asks me to have oral sex with him. I find it difficult to refuse him, but I am worried that oral sex may cause some disease or infection.
Is oral sex between husband and wife generally safe? If my husband’s genitals look clean and there are no visible signs of infection, can there still be a risk of infection? Can oral sex cause any infection in the mouth or throat?
I would also like to know what kind of hygiene and precautions should be followed during oral sex. Is it better to use a condom? Are flavored condoms available in the market safe to use?
Most importantly, if I feel afraid or uncomfortable about having oral sex, do I have the right to refuse it? I want to maintain a healthy marital relationship, but I also want to feel confident about my health and mental comfort.
