My father is 72. He recently had a knee-replacement operation, and since then he has had urinary trouble. Until 6–7 days ago he would pass urine before reaching the bathroom. The family doctor’s medicine helped a little, but a sonography done on his advice showed that 500 ml of urine remains in the bladder even after passing urine. The doctor has advised an immediate operation. We need your advice. Thank you.

Hello

Have a Healthy Day !!

Welcome to the world of health from Ayurveda conducted by Dr. Nikul Patel.

As per your problem, looking at what you have described about your father, it is quite late to answer, but in such conditions Ayurvedic treatment can be taken; if there is no improvement, the operation will have to be done. If the operation has not yet been done, start the following treatment:

  1. Gokshuradi guggulu 2 tablets three times a day
  2. Chandraprabha vati 2 tablets twice a day
  3. Punarnavashtak ghanvati 2 tablets twice a day
  4. Ashmarihar kwath 10 ml four times a day

Take all medicines regularly with water. Also keep giving plenty of coconut water.

Since a large amount of urine is being retained, stay under the regular follow-up of your doctor and do not delay the operation if the urologist finds it necessary.
