I am a 19-year-old girl. For some time, I have noticed that my nipples look slightly larger or more prominent than before. This has made me a little worried. I have never had any kind of sexual relationship and I am a virgin. Some of my friends told me that a girl’s nipples become prominent or change in size only after she has had sexual relations. Because of this, I am worried that this change in my body may indicate something about my sexual history.
I am not sure whether the shape or prominence of the nipples is actually related to sexual activity or virginity. Can the nipples of a virgin girl also become larger, more prominent, or more protruding? Can changes related to age, hormones, the menstrual cycle, or normal physical development cause this?
