Is it ok to switch from ghee to flax seed oil during at-home panchakarma?

i took the ghee for one day... and when it came time to take it the second day, my body completely rejected it, i couldnt stomach the taste or smell and i completely threw it up no matter how hard i tried to keep it down... so i decided to take 2 spoons of flax seed oil instead to complete my three days of internal oleation... is that ok? thank you

p.s. i am pitta dosha

Hello

Have a Healthy Day!!

Welcome to the world of health from Ayurveda conducted by Dr. Nikul Patel

You have a problem while senhapaan – pre-procedure of panchkarma treatment.

In this way of Pre-procedure, you should have to make your body oily with any Oil substance as its medicated ghee or Medicated oil too.

In this way of you have pitta dosha ane pitta prakruti ; its been advised as to take Ghee and Ghee formulation instead of any oil.

You can add Sugar in ghee too or you can drink ghee adding in warm milk.

But flaxseed Oil is not a proper medicine to have snehpaan for pre-procedure of Panchkarma as you have pitta dosha.

You should have to manage it. And be relaxed while taking of medicines.

Also you can get advice from your panchkarma expert.

Note : Don’t do panchkarma as yourself, it should be under observation of any expert of Ayurveda.

Diet :

1. Avoid Fermented and stale food

2. Avoid food from outside selling

3. Avoid Curd, Buttermilk, Lemon all sour and salty food,

4. Avoid Oily and fried food

I advise you following Yogasan and Pranayam Procedures for betterment

Yoga and Pranayam treatment

1.   Paschimotanasan

2.   Chakrashan

3.   Sarvangasan

4.   Uttanpadasan

5.   Pavan muktasana

In Pranayama

1.   Bhasrika pranayam

2.   Anulom – vilom pranayam

3.   Kapalbhanti pranayam
